Drink like a local.
And when in Naples, make sure to visit the Naples Beach Brewery.
Around the state of Florida, there are independently owned craft breweries working feverishly to put Florida on the map for the awesome craft beer being produced right here in the Sunshine State. When you see the “Drink Like a Local” logo you know you’re at a place that either hand crafts their own beer or at an establishment that is doing everything they can to support local breweries and other Florida industries.
Jereme and I first stumbled upon the Naples Beach Brewery last year at the Naples Craft Beer Festival (which is an amazing festival by the way — we highly recommend it). At the time, we didn’t even know Naples had its own local brewery! (I wish more would follow suit!)
The Naples Beach Brewery is an artisanal microbrewery located here in beautiful Naples, of course. Their brewing process is extremely “hands on” with a great deal of attention paid to every batch of high quality craft beer they create. Having been in business for only a year or so, this is the epitome of a small home-grown style operation, that is set expand this year. They currently distribute their beers to lots of restaurants and hotels in the area.
Just this week, we finally found the time to head over to the brewery for a tour + tasting, and brought along our good friends, Chris and Heather, and Jereme’s sister Ashley, who had just flown in from Canada for the holidays.
For just $15 per person, we sampled all six beers on tap, and enjoyed two full glasses of our preferred craft brew. The pumpkin latte stout and Weizen were my two favorites, but all six beers were equally as awesome.
Both Jereme and I feel it’s important to support these guys in every way we can and enjoy the brews that are being produced down the street, rather than across the country or ocean. We are all for supporting small local businesses (especially being a small business owner myself)!
So, if you’re ever in the area, make sure to “drink like a local” and check out the Naples Beach Brewery! You won’t be disappointed!

Coming from an area that is HUGE for micro brews, I very rarely drink any ‘big label’ beer. I too love supporting the local businesses, it doesn’t hurt that most of the time they have better beer anyway 😉
