When I say “we,” I clearly mean Jereme. 😉
He built me and Oliver a new wall/cabinet for the head. …As part of our fun head re-plumbing project. Which is just about finished. Yay!
Replumbing the head and replacing the 30-year-old sewage hoses pretty much required demo-ing the entire wall in the head. Which is fine I suppose because the original wall isn’t in such hot shape. It needed to be overhauled.
So, Jereme busted out his woodworking skills and built this fancy new wall + cabinet duo to fit the existing space. He purchased 3/4 and 1/4 inch teak plywood from an architectural wood products/custom cabinetry company in Naples, and spent some considerable time crafting this bad boy in our garage.
Jereme salvaged the trim on the original wall to use on the new wall because it is so intricately crafted he knew that it would be very difficult to replicate.
All that is left now is varnishing the entire piece and making a few other pieces of the wall while we’re on the boat.

While sadly I can tell you exactly which router bits would be needed to replicate that trim I can also say SAVE IT IF YOU CAN. We remade a bunch of trim on our boat and it was a PAIN. I’m so glad that part of our prepping is pretty much done. Cabinet looks great Jereme!
