It was a very merry cruiser-style Christmas this year!
Jereme and I both decided that we didn’t really need to exchange gifts this year, since we are already spending more than enough $ as is preparing to set sail in the New Year. However, our families didn’t get the same memo, and were SO generous in giving us items we still need for the boat and ourselves!
This Christmas was complete with new snorkeling gear, a 7-piece Magma nesting cookware set, a Kindle Paperwhite (woot woot!), a Garmin handheld GPS, and plenty of Amazon and Lululemon gift certificates (all of which will definitely come in handy as we gear up for our big cruising adventure in the New Year)!
We spent Christmas Day with Jereme’s whole family here in Naples… unwrapping gifts, eating way too much food, trying to walk off all those freaking calories on the beach, and then of course eating an even more delicious Christmas dinner and apple pie! 😉 Pretty much your typical holiday celebration, I suppose.
It’s been super fun (and, let’s not lie, a little chaotic at times) having Jereme’s whole family around, especially his cutie niece Olivia… her (gift unwrapping) expressions are priceless!
And now that Christmas has come and gone, it’s officially countdown time until our last day of work! Woo hoo! Jereme’s last day is right around the corner (January 10th), but mine will come shortly thereafter (I’ll be keeping the paychecks coming while Jereme cracks down on more boat projects). Then, we’ll just need to wrap up any final items on our boat project list and make sure everything is in ship shape so we can set sail and start cruising. We’ll be heading south to the Keys first, and then on to the Bahamas and Caribbean from there.
We seriously CANNOT wait!!! 🙂
